Will this farming build work?
Hey guys/gals.
I am a el/mo using
fire energy storage and healing
my build will use fire spells that are aoe so when things bunch around me they will get lit up in flames? going with the basic aoe fire spells will it work?

You would need some healing to not die from the enemies, but I see you are a monk secondary so I don't really see any problems with that build. Just try it out.

There aren't really any details here so I'll post something that I've considered before. This is by no means a perfectly defined and tested build. I'm simply listing skills that I think work well in conjunction with one another (and can often be mixed and matched)
----- For Healing -----
Mending
Healing Breeze
Healing Hands (Critical for high lvl farming but you don't get it until LATE into the game)
Orison (It's easy to spam)
Aura of Restoration
----- For Damage -----
Lava Font
Flame Strike
Pheonix
Meteor
Inferno
Incendiary bonds (I think that's the one where they explode and catch on fire after 3 seconds)
----- For Energy -----
Balthazars Spirit
Fire Attunement
As you can tell, the skills I chose for damage are all (what I refer to as) LAD's, Local Area Damage spells. Everything crowded around you will take an extreme ammount of damage using any combination of those spells. Of course, tweaking is the ultimate key so finding the right combo, rhythm and being able to self-sustain are what seperate the true farmers from the wannabe's
Then again, you could do what all the other E/Mo's are doing and go smiting

you could try using whirlwind since that would knock them all down but that would be air, and not many air skills are good for AoE

I certainly considered a whirlwind build but like you said...investing points in Air just for a temporary knockdown seemed to be a bit of a waste.
